It is located in many cities across the United States. With branches in China and Singapore, the business has gone global.
*How Did The Museum Of Ice Cream Started?
It was founded by Maryellis Bunn, who previously was the head of Forecasting and Innovation at Time, Inc and worked as an independent consultant on design and business strategy for various companies including Facebook.
She partnered with Manish Vora, a former investment banker and former CEO of Lightbox. the museum’s parent company is Figure8, Inc., headquartered in New York. Initially it was self-funded by Bunn and Vora, the company started with a pop-up exhibit in New York’s Meatpacking District in 2016.
Maryellis Bunn, who previously was the head of Forecasting and Innovation at Time, Inc. and served as a freelance consultant on design and business strategy for other firms, including Facebook, launched Museum Of Ice Cream.
Manish Vora, a former investment banker and CEO of Lightbox, joined forces with her. Figure8, Inc., a New York-based corporation, is the parent company of this awesome museum. The business began in 2016 with a pop-up exhibition in New York City’s Meatpacking District, initially self-funded by Bunn and Vora.

The museum currently has five permanent locations in New York City, Chicago, Austin, Singapore, and Shanghai, China.
Its first permanent location was initially in San Francisco, which opened in 2017.
Over a million people visited the business’s different sites in 2018 alone. In the same year, the museum’s new, larger permanent flagship store in Manhattan’s Soho opened.
The museum opened its first overseas location in Singapore’s Dempsey neighborhood in August 2021.
Two further locations opened in Shanghai, China, and Tribune Tower in Chicago, respectively, in July and August of 2022.

The museum now have a total of fourteen exhibits, five of which are permanent.

One of the most popular exhibits at the Museum of Ice Cream is the Sprinkle Pool. This huge pool is filled with over 100 million sprinkles, and visitors are invited to take a dip and take some Instagram-worthy photos.
Another fan ‘s favorite is the Banana Split Room, where visitors can unwind on a giant banana and take in the eccentric ambiance.

Tickets are $39, and kids under two are free. The pop-up features 13 installations across 3 floors. It takes approximately an hour and a half to go through the whole experience.
The Museum of Ice Cream is more than just a fun day out. It’s also a place to learn about the history and science of ice cream. Visitors can explore the origins of ice cream in the Cow Jumped Over the Moon exhibit, and learn about the chemistry of ice cream in the Chocolate Chamber.
